Henry Priestman and Lots of Friends Plus Support

Henry Priestman

Friday 27th February - 8 pm

Henry returns to Settle for a special gig to celebrate the launch of his Live DVD “Settle Down”, which was filmed on his last visit to the Victoria Hall in 2014.

As settlemusic.org said:

“Henry Priestman’s concert in Settle last Saturday night was absolutely cracking. The rapport between performer and audience helped make it one of the most enjoyable evenings that we have spent in the Victoria Hall.”

After over 35 years in the music business, in 2009 Henry Priestman (the writer behind all those hits for The Christians in the 80s & 90s) reinvented himself as a singer-songwriter. His debut solo CD “The Chronicles of Modern Life” received critical acclaim and much Radio 2 airplay. He followed this up with “The Last Mad Surge of Youth” in 2014, which garnered him the best reviews he’s had in 37 years of releasing records.

Having discovered a love of live work (mixing ramshackle chaos and tear-jerking poignancy in equal measures) he’s relishing his return to the Vic Hall for what’s sure to be a party to dispel those February blues!

“It’s absolutely brilliant... he’s found his voice!” Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2

Doors open at 7.15 pm.
