Film Premiere and Album Launch byThe Moonbeam Collective
‘Celebrating the environment, the countryside and rural communities through music, film and the arts’
Victoria Hall is rolling out the red carpet for Streams of Wonder - looking for the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, an entrancing new film by The Moonbeam Collective. The Collective has evolved out of the well known and much loved Dales music band The Moonbeams to explore different ways of celebrating and promoting the countryside and environment.
Streams of Wonder charts the progress of a young walker exploring the landscapes and people of the Dales. You are taken on a mystical journey, by rivers and streams, through woods and dales to meet the likes of farmers and fell runners, canoeists and cavers, cyclists and scythers, artists and artisans; to slow down to the pace of the seasons and natural rhythms, to immerse yourself in the timeless glory of the landscape and discover ‘the heart of the Yorkshire Dales’.
The soundtrack to Streams of Wonder is provided by original music from The Moonbeams band. The Moonbeams play “music to listen to whilst thinking of the better things in life” and will launch their long awaited third album This Land as part of the same event. This Land builds on the foundations of their first two critically acclaimed albums and re-affirms their deep love of the countryside and The Yorkshire Dales. The album is full of songs telling tales of rural life as well as songs that reflect on life itself.
