Yorkshire Dales Ukulele Weekender

  • Settle Victoria Hall 24 Kirkgate Settle, England, BD24 9DZ United Kingdom (map)

Join us for Volume 6 of the fantastic Yorkshire Dales Ukulele Weekender. A gathering of folks for some cool music, cool people in a very cool place... come and join us!

Hosted by Dead Man’s Uke

Your hosts are Dead Mans Uke an award winning two man band playing dirt swing, hokum and old blues tunes as well as crazy covers and anything else they fancy on double bass and a resonator ukulele that belonged to Tiny Tim... they play shows in bars, music venues, parties, festivals and theatres across the UK and recently in Prague, Dublin, Belfast, Austria, Paris, Bavaria, Poland, Las Vegas, Palm Springs and even Saudi Arabia… but are really looking forward to playing the amazing Victoria Hall once again along with Mel Day on harmonica.

Also Featuring:

Phil Doleman

Phil’s love of vintage blues, swing, and jug band music shines through as he blows the dust off obscure old songs and gives new life to classics. With just his big voice, stomping foot, and driving rhythms on both ukuleles and banjos he'll take you back to the juke joints of the 20s. His original songs blend in seamlessly, with many believing them to be old songs that had passed them by.

Amelia Coburn

BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Finalist and UKE Magazine Breakthrough Artist winner, Amelia Coburn hit the ground running in 2022 with a sold out debut headline tour of the UK, an EP of new original material that received national airplay and is currently rounding off a string of UK and European festival dates including Cambridge Folk Festival, Austrian Ukulele Festival and now the Yorkshire Dales Ukulele Weekender.

The League

The League are an exciting and dynamic quintet.  Over the past few years they have been thrilling audiences all over the UK in concerts and festivals, as well as on the continent, playing concerts in Portugal, Ibiza, Czech Republic, Germany, Finland and Austria. Their set will include many of their own highly acclaimed compositions, a touch of prog rock, audience participation and foot tapping folk numbers.
