Paul Sartin (oboe, violin and vocals) and Paul Hutchinson (accordion) together entertain audiences across the UK, Australia and the USA with their eclectic and eccentric mix of tunes, songs and chat that sends audiences home with a smile;

Belshazzar’s Feast have released a series of critically acclaimed albums across their long career, the latest being ‘The Whiting’s On The Wall’ (2014).
As a singer, oboist, violinist, composer and arranger, Paul Sartin performs and records extensively with trio Faustus, previously with multi-BBC Radio 2 Award-winning big band Bellowhead, and with Jon Boden & The Remnant Kings. Paul is consultant and Director of the Andover Museum Loft Singers and the author of ‘Community Choirs Collection – Folk’ published by Faber Music. During 2017 and 2018 he appeared in, as well as directing the music for a new production of Peter Bellamy’s ballad opera, The Transports (Guardian *****). Paul is a BASCA-nominated composer whose commissions include works for the Central School of Speech and Drama, the Choir of Somerville College, Oxford, Streetwise Opera, Aldeburgh Music, and the BBC Radio 4 series ‘Playing the Skyline’.

Paul Hutchinson is a member of The Pagoda Project with jazz clarinetist, Karen Wimhurst, and a new musical quartet, The Maniacs. He is well known for his work with Hoover the Dog, Karen Tweed and the Playford Liberation Front. He is a superlative accordion player with a unique style inspired by church organ music, violins & concertinas. Paul is resident tutor at Cecil Sharp House, Halsway Manor, Benslow Music Centre and Marlborough College. He has a keen interest in and knowledge of 17th and 18th Century dance music which has resulted in tours to Europe, Australia and America. He has recently published a book of 18th century tunes.
