Multi award-winning electronic folk band from the Highlands of Scotland.

Over the past decade and more, Elephant Sessions have grown from grassroots beginnings to become one of the most prominent acts in contemporary folk music, performing at major festivals and venues across the UK, Europe, Australia and North America, including Glastonbury, WOMAD, Celtic Connections, Colours of Ostrava, SXSW and Byron Bay Bluesfest.

They are comprised of Euan Smillie (fiddle), Alasdair Taylor (mandolin), Calum MacQuarrie (bass) and Greg Barry (drums, samples).

Creating a progressive blend of intricate tunes, with a bass and drum heavy backline, their music combines the very best of folk, funk and electronica, resulting in a new and exciting sound, with four studio albums and renowned energetic live shows earning them a loyal international fanbase and critical acclaim.

‘The versatility of Elephant Sessions is its strength. Passionate about their culture and their origins, these Scots are using their instruments like weapons to destroy clichés...We love them’
