Exhibition Opening: 165 years of Settle Victoria Hall

  • Settle Victoria Hall 24 Kirkgate Settle, England, BD24 9DZ United Kingdom (map)

Opened in October 1853, Settle Victoria Hall is the world's oldest continually-running Music Hall. This year marks our 165th birthday, and we're celebrating with a six-week exhibition, celebrating the past, present and future of Victoria Hall and its place in the community, to culminate in a 165th Birthday Party in October.

The grand opening of the exhibition will see a display of archive materials from the 1850s to the present day, guided tours of Victoria Hall, including the parts you don't normally get to see, refreshments served in our cafe, and the chance to experience what it's like to be on the stage and behind the scenes at a working theatre and music venue. From the music played at our opening night 165 years ago, to the community groups who use the hall today and our plans for the future, come and find out the story of our tiny but well-loved Music Hall.

Tours will be happening regularly throughout the day, and entry is entirely free.
