Giggleswick Railway Circle: John Whiteley – Something Old, Something New

  • Settle Victoria Hall 24 Kirkgate Settle, England, BD24 9DZ United Kingdom (map)

Tonight we welcome John Whiteley who will entertain us with some of his own material and, from his collection, some black and white images taken in the 1920s and 30s. John is a respected railway photographer and with his friend, Gavin Morrison, has produced a number of excellent pictorial books.

Giggleswick Railway Circle (GRC) is a voluntary group that holds regular meetings for anyone interested in railways.

So, if are you interested in….

·         Past, present and future railway operations

·         Locomotives and rolling stock

·         Railway buildings, track and signalling

·         Railway photography

·         A history of railway lines and their communities

… then come along to our meetings.

Normally our meetings are held at 19.30 on the 4th Wednesday monthly, but please check the diary before travelling.

GRC is not a club; all are welcome to the meetings, and there is no subscription or membership needed. Refreshments are included in the admission charge.
