Manasamitra, a Dewsbury based South Indian arts organization invites music lovers to Lullaby – Sonic Cradle, a contemporary musical exploration of night time sounds interspersed with lullabies from India. Supriya Nagarajan (vocals) , James Cave (cello) and Duncan Chapman (electronic sounds) will create a restful, tranquil and immersive musical experience with interactive visual effects that will delight all ages. Inspired by the songs Indian women sing to their babies whilst working in the fields, Lullaby has been created through a collaborative process involving local communities, professional musicians and technology.
Lullaby comes to Settle as part of an national tour funded by Arts Council England. Lullaby-Sonic Cradle has travelled across the UK, Europe, Scandinavia and Australia.
