Eliza Carthy and the Restitution

  • Settle Victoria Hall 24 Kirkgate Settle, England, BD24 9DZ United Kingdom (map)

Eliza Carthy returns with Frenemies, a new album created with her long-standing band, The Restitution. Co-written and co-produced with Ben Seal, the record combines sharp humour, traditional folk and punk spirit as Carthy reflects on motherhood, betrayal, forgiveness and the state of the modern world. Tackling everything from complicated relationships to solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community, Frenemies captures the wit, warmth and fire that have defined her career. More than 30 years on from her debut, Carthy remains one of English folk's most distinctive and uncompromising voices.
