Sian are a Scottish Gaelic folk band whose acclaimed sophomore album araon won Album of the Year at the 2025 Scots Trad Music Awards. Formed in 2016 through Blas Festival, the band is made up of Ceitlin Lilidh, Eilidh Cormack and Ellen MacDonald, alongside multi-instrumentalist Innes White. With roots in Lewis, Skye and North Uist, Sian’s music is grounded in Gaelic song, shaped by close, carefully balanced vocal harmonies.
Their sound has been compared to The Staves and even Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and they have featured on several tracks with electronic band Niteworks.
Following their acclaimed 2020 debut, araon was released in August 2025, produced by Innes White and Innes Strachan. A clear progression from their debut, araon marks a bold step forward - with Songlines calling it “a masterclass in vocal layering and restraint, a collection that celebrates Scottish song traditions while nudging them forward into fresh, contemporary light,” while At The Barrier described it as “a masterpiece in any genre.”

Most of our shows use ‘cabaret-style’ seating. This means that your seats will be unreserved, which allows you to decide where to sit when you arrive.
The stalls (downstairs) are set up informally, with chairs around small tables, for a sociable, relaxed atmosphere, and somewhere to put your drink. Cabaret seating also allows space for dancing, which is highly encouraged at Victoria Hall!
For those who prefer a more ‘traditional’ theatre experience, the balcony seats are laid out in rows and raked, ensuring all seats have an excellent view.
For parties of six or more, tables in the stalls can be reserved- contact us to reserve a table. If you have reserved a table, we ask that at least one of your party turn up at least 30 minutes before the performance start time, in order to secure your table.
We can always reserve seating or wheelchair spaces in the stalls for those unable to use the stairs- just let us know when you book your tickets.
