Yorkshire Dales Ukulele Weekender Gala Show

  • Settle Victoria Hall 24 Kirkgate Settle, England, BD24 9DZ United Kingdom (map)

The boys are back! The Yorkshire Dales Ukulele Weekender’s Gala Evening Show returns to Settle Victoria Hall with a night of brilliant performers from around the world.

The headliners are award-winning international duo Dead Mans Uke, joined by Mel Day on harmonica. They play dirt swing, hokum, old blues and some very unlikely covers on double bass and a resonator ukulele that once belonged to Tiny Tim. They’ve taken their show from Settle to Prague, Las Vegas and Australia.

Joining them are three very special guests:

  • Rita Braga (from Portugal): a whimsical mix of cabaret, vintage tunes and experimental pop, sung in more than ten languages.

  • Julia Traser (from Italy): a Brighton-based singer-songwriter with a sweet voice and heartfelt songs written around the ukulele.

  • Phil Doleman (from Belper): stomping vintage blues, swing and jug band music on ukulele and banjo. His own songs sound so old that people think they’re classics.
