Formed in 2020, An Dannsa Dub—led by Tom Spirals and Euan McLaughlin—have been making waves in the UK and beyond. Twice nominated for Live Act of the Year at the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards (23/24) as well as The 2023 Scottish Alternative Music Awards, the band has garnered critical acclaim for their ability to seamlessly blend the mystical sounds of Gaelic song and traditional Scottish instruments with the pulsating rhythms and deep basslines of digital dub.
With an ever-expanding live following, An Dannsa Dub has electrified crowds across the UK festival circuit and beyond, including Glastonbury Festival, Celtic Connections, Dubcamp (France), and Goa Sunsplash (India). Their distinctive sound, fuelled by top-tier musicianship, continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
Following the success of their self-titled EP An Dannsa Dub (2021), which received airplay on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio Nan Gàidheal, and BBC Scotland, and was celebrated by Don Letts, Craig Charles and Tom Robinson, the group’s debut album Air An Turas (2023) further solidified their global presence. The album’s unique collaborations with artists like Cian Finn and Lana Pheutan earned critical acclaim, rave reviews and plays across the BBC, and lead to a host of tour dates across the UK and Europe.
Through The Storm, the band’s brand new second album, marks a major evolution for An Dannsa Dub, boasting stellar production from the legendary GAUDI and mixed by dubmaster Paolo Baldini DubFiles, along with an array of exciting guest features, including Junior Dread, Lewis McLaughlin, Josie Duncan, Horseman, Corto Alto, and Rachel Newton. With its diverse influences and boundary-pushing sound, Through The Storm promises to be a defining moment in the band’s journey, offering fans a deeper and more expansive listening experience.
Fans can expect an electrifying live show where An Dannsa Dub will bring their signature high energy, genre-blending performance to the stage alongside award winning Gaelic vocalist Josie Duncan and their all-star team of Nicky Kirk (Guitar), Maxi Roots (Bass) and Ben Burnside (Drums).

Most of our shows use ‘cabaret-style’ seating. This means that your seats will be unreserved, which allows you to decide where to sit when you arrive.
The stalls (downstairs) are set up informally, with chairs around small tables, for a sociable, relaxed atmosphere, and somewhere to put your drink. Cabaret seating also allows space for dancing, which is highly encouraged at Victoria Hall!
For those who prefer a more ‘traditional’ theatre experience, the balcony seats are laid out in rows and raked, ensuring all seats have an excellent view.
For parties of six or more, tables in the stalls can be reserved- contact us to reserve a table. If you have reserved a table, we ask that at least one of your party turn up at least 30 minutes before the performance start time, in order to secure your table.
We can always reserve seating or wheelchair spaces in the stalls for those unable to use the stairs- just let us know when you book your tickets.
Please note, online bookings are subject to a booking fee. Tickets can also be bought by phone on 01729 825718, or in person at our box office. Opening hours are 10am-2pm, Monday-Friday.
Show end times given are an estimate only. Doors open 45 minutes before show start times.
