A double headliner from two of Scotland’s most exciting young bands.
Birdvox
Birdvox is an exciting new electro-folk band born from a mutual love of birds, harmonies and kitchen discos. Together they embrace energetic, shapeshifting synthesis and the joy of vocal interplay. Expect velvet harmonies, considered lyrical stylings and lively bespoke beats. Birdvox comprises four established, multi-tasking artist-producers: Sarah Hayes (vocals, flute, synths, programming), Charlotte Printer (vocals, bass), Jenny Sturgeon (vocals, guitar, synths, sampling) and Inge Thomson (vocals, accordion, electronica, beats).
Birdvox is an evolution of the collaborative cross-arts project Northern Flyway (2018-2021), a touring audio-visual show which garnered much acclaim. Its subsequent album recording received several 5* reviews and was included in Songlines 'Best Avian-Inspired Albums' Top 10.
Working across genres of traditional folk, indie, electronica and pop, and singing in Scots, Shetland dialect, old Norn and English, Birdvox distil their individual influences into a unique musical point of view and a joyful live experience. They have been featured in Songlines magazine and received glowing reviews for their vibrant shows:
“Perhaps the standout event of the whole festival… exciting and energetic… at the intersection of boundary-pushing art and extremely listenable, melody-based pop” (The Skinny)
After honing their live sound on festival stages including Celtic Connections, Cambridge Folk Festival and Edinburgh Tradfest, Birdvox have recently put the finishing touches to their first studio recording with producer Peter Brewis (Field Music). The resulting twelve songs and instrumentals are fresh, striking explorations of subjects including the natural world, friendship, mental health, gender politics and environmental and social issues. Unflinching, uplifting and danceable in equal measure, the eagerly-anticipated début album from Birdvox will be released on Hudson Records in Autumn 2026.
Dlù
Funky backline. Pulsing dance rhythms. Disco. Plus original Gaelic song and driving tunes. Dlù are a high-energy five-piece indie trad band from Glasgow, and one of the most respected voices of their generation.
Comprising Moilidh NicGriogair, Zach Ronan, Aidan Spiers, Andrew Grossart and Seoras Chlad, the band's eclectic musical backgrounds fuel their original melodies and arrangements, giving them a sound that is entirely their own. Their name derives from the Gaelic word 'dlùth', meaning tight-knit and close, a tribute to the long-lasting friendship between members and to their shared roots at Glasgow Gaelic School.
Proud Gaelic speakers, Dlù are fired up to keep their language and culture alive through music that speaks to lifelong traditional music fans and first-time listeners alike. They thrive off audience energy, using it as inspiration for a continuously evolving sound which they capture in their recorded work.
Their debut album Moch was released in February 2022, earning international radio play and glowing reviews. Their follow-up Close To arrived in June 2024, further cementing their reputation as a band pushing Gaelic music into exciting new territory. In January 2026 they sold out Saint Luke's in Glasgow, a 600-capacity venue, and are releasing a string of singles throughout 2026.
"Scots Gaelic culture in folk music is already strong, but Dlù represent a new generation." The Scotsman
"Glasgow's Gaelic prodigies take a further giant step forward, taking trad into territories new." At The Barrier
"An impressive debut from a band that seem destined to become major contributors to the evolution of Gaelic music." RnR Magazine

Most of our shows use ‘cabaret-style’ seating. This means that your seats will be unreserved, which allows you to decide where to sit when you arrive.
The stalls (downstairs) are set up informally, with chairs around small tables, for a sociable, relaxed atmosphere, and somewhere to put your drink. Cabaret seating also allows space for dancing, which is highly encouraged at Victoria Hall!
For those who prefer a more ‘traditional’ theatre experience, the balcony seats are laid out in rows and raked, ensuring all seats have an excellent view.
For parties of six or more, tables in the stalls can be reserved- contact us to reserve a table. If you have reserved a table, we ask that at least one of your party turn up at least 30 minutes before the performance start time, in order to secure your table.
We can always reserve seating or wheelchair spaces in the stalls for those unable to use the stairs- just let us know when you book your tickets.
Please note, online bookings are subject to a booking fee. Tickets can also be bought by phone on 01729 825718, or in person at our box office. Opening hours are 10am-2pm, Monday-Friday.
